If you or someone you know likes traditional book-based documentation, keep reading for some ideas on how to spend wisely at the bookstore. Red Hat currently provides two distributions, both documented in this book. The second is the freely distributed Fedora books distribution. Despite having used linux for many years, and Fedora books since its release, I found lots of very specific how-to information in this book that would take a long time to find in other documentation. The term “lab-based approach” in the book’s description basically translates into the book having very detailed and accurate step-by-step instructions for performing common Fedora books tasks.

Appendixes provide a glossary, and a guide to technical documentation. Another commenter mentioned the fact that a lot of developer documentation is available, as opposed to user documentation.
